The Air Jordan 3 ‘Knicks’ draws inspiration from one of Michael Jordan’s greatest on-court rivals, the New York Knicks. Known for their relentless defense and hard-fought battles against Jordan’s Chicago Bulls throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, the Knicks became a defining part of his competitive legacy.

This design pays tribute to Jordan’s legendary “Virus Game” from the 1987–88 season. An inner-tongue graphic reads 04.08.88, referencing the game in which Jordan played through a stomach virus, scored 47 points, and led the Bulls to victory.
